It’s not the end it’s the beginning!

Well,
CatastroPie is a process that took years. years took energy.

While our “duo” still sticks together our singular is continuing.

So…
1. Ido’s post-catastropie project.

http://gomgom.bandcamp.com

This is a GREAT acoustic concept which is believe is direct continuation of Ido’s vision and changes as he grows.
And the fact he uses his native language makes it more whole in some manner (in my humble opinion).

2. Catastropie sweded 2…
We hold this for a while now for “marketing” but sadly with the stimulated world we live in marketing is much harder than making music.
So here it is for your pleasure:

it’s a REMIX!

The Change That We Are!
January 9th, 2011 @ 3:47 pm / posted by : Ido

It’s easy and convenient to see only one side of the coin. The newspapers and TV are full of gossip and tragedies.
well, here’s some good news for us: that’s only one side of the coin.
a growing number of human beings all over the world are realizing that we are all in this together.
We start seeing that true peace for anyone can only exist when we stop harming others.
Let’s remember that, and remind each other that a more sane world is possible.
Our words, thougts and actions do make a difference!

What we are doing?

Well it’s hard to get your music recognized or being heard where there’s overload of information.

So while most of you actual readers and non spam bots don’t comment much we do hope our content does make you smile or produce some kind of emotional reaction.

In the last month we’be been  working on another howto and still trying to get a fun live act going.

I cannot write in the name of Ido, but for me it’s been great experience to play with Ido & Shahar.

Songs for his grandmother!
December 16th, 2010 @ 11:01 am / posted by : Ido

Today I’m feeling lucky. I came across new music that really touched me:
it’s an album by singer-songwriter Svavar Knútur, in which he plays his favorite Icelandic folk and traditional songs (in Icelandic).
This album, called Amma (songs for my grandmother), was recorded live, in a house concert, and I find it simply honest and at some moments – divine!
maybe you”ll like it too:

Breathe, you are online!
November 12th, 2010 @ 8:59 am / posted by : Ido

Look into my heart,
start downstairs,
don’t forget to breathe

The first thing I saw when I entered Plum Village’s website (a Buddhist center in France) was a picture of a beautiful white flower and this sentence – “breathe, you are online”. That saying helped me notice how flat my breathing was at that moment. It’s interesting to see how my awareness changes totally when I use the internet – I lose my posture and my connection with my body and with “this moment”. That’s not fun. Am I the only one who experiences this? Does it have to be this way? Is it possible for me to surf the internet and breathe normally at the same time? Can I read and write my Facebook messages SLOWLY, while sitting straight? This is what I’m trying to figure out….

Thank You for all the great responses we so far :)
So what we’ve been upto…

- CatastroPie Live: We’re trying to get some live act going… (To be continued… :) )

- Videos. We have yet to find a “visual” concept we are whole with and think is interesting enough to watch. some meanwhile Ido suggested we’ll get some productive videos…

So… we’re happy to start publishing our How To videos.
In the first batch we got Ori Ann Hail to show us how to draw a gummy bear, a girl and a manga boy.

Enjoy!
CatastroPie.

The dark side of bottled water
October 21st, 2010 @ 1:26 am / posted by : Ido

In Israel, where we live, no one talks about bottled water. Here it is referred to as “mineral water”.
One of the first things I learned when I moved to Tel Aviv, about two years ago, is that I shouldn’t drink the water from the tap ’cause they are polluted and full of “bad stuff”. So I started living on bottled water without questioning it, and it went on like that for a few months.
I no longer drink bottled water and not only because i’m fed up with carrying 6 packs from the supermarket or because it’s expensive (about 2000 time more than tap water).I mainly quit because apparently manufacturing and damping these bottles is extremely polluting.

Here’s a short animation video, called “the story of bottled water” which explains everything and suggests an alternative.

Finally, giving birth to our music!!!
